Fall Festivities

Fall is a fun time of the year here. We enjoy lots of fall and Halloween activities every year, and many have become traditions.

We have been making our way through Auburn's Corn Maze for a few years now. The sky was threatening rain, but thankfully it held off.

Our fearless leaders with their maps

At every checkpoint is a question. We made it to every checkpoint in the maze this year, and only got a few wrong answers.

Nana and Papa joined in the maze fun. Papa gave tired Kieran a ride.

 Cole as student-of-the-week
Cole worked hard on his student-of-the-week poster.

I enjoyed eating lunch with my student-of-the-week. Cole was able to pick two friends, Henry and Gavin, to join us. We had a heated discussion about the best baseball team, Cardinals or Cubs.
We cheered on the Cardinals at NLCS Game 2. Our seats were awesome. The weather was perfect. The Cardinals won. We couldn't have asked for a better day.

Not sure what Cole is saying/singing in this photo, but clearly he was having a good time.

I helped at both Cole's and Caden's classroom fall parties. Unfortunately, Cole was home sick with a fever during his party.

Caden changed his mind several times. This is not the pumpkin he ended up bringing home.

Curt and Cole stayed home because Cole was still under the weather. Good decision because the cool and windy weather wouldn't have helped Cole any.

Kieran enjoyed his ride.

Kieran had fun playing in the corn kernels.

We made it through without any problems with Caden and Josh as our guides.

So glad we were able to include Aunt Shannon and Josh this year!

The next day, we treated everyone to brunch at Island Bay Yacht Club.

Spiderman was the choice this year.

Cole lost a tooth during music class on Halloween. He really wanted to lose that tooth at school, so he was thrilled.

Caden is the tall one. Cole is all wrapped up by Sophia. Kieran got the hang of it and did a great job wrapping Greta.

With Kendra and Lauri--LOVE my neighbors! Did not realize when we picked this house that we were going to be blessed with awesome neighbors and wonderful friends.
After the Halloween party, we braved the wet weather for some trick-or-treating. We walked to two cul-de-sacs, and then I brought a tired Kieran home. I drove Caden, Cole, and two of Caden's school friends (Saurya and Nathan) around our half of the neighborhood for a while longer. It was a fun night for all of us!
