Caden's Week at Camp Ondessonk 2017

At the end of June, Caden spent a week at Camp Ondessonk, one of his favorite places to go. We felt more experienced and Mom felt a little less nervous this time.

Rey wasn't so sure about the packing scene.

The boys left us far behind on the way to the swim test.

I love that Ondessonk posts photos every day! Just like last year, the other moms and I stalked the website for glimpses of the boys. Caden and his friends went horseback riding on the first full day.

They swim 3-4 times during the week.

Evening inspection lines

On the last full day of camp, campers collect arrowheads (like Boy Scout/Girl Scout patches) showing mastery of certain skills. Units also compete in a marathon of different camp activities.

She was not happy that Caden was gone for so long. We had to bring food and water up to her. She was a very sad girl. 

A few days later, Rey thought she should join her sister under Caden's bed.

Jovie and Rey were so happy to have Caden home. 

Caden had another great camp experience! It only took me nine months to put up the photos. He is already set to go back with Alex and Ryan in less than three months. This year, Cole gets to go for the first time.
