Our June

Only FIVE months of activities and two birthdays to catch up on! EEK! I refuse to give up on posting photos, but it has become even more difficult to stay on top of the photos. Here is what kept us busy in June...

At the beginning of June, the boys finished up second and fifth grades.
Cole and Mrs. Rembusch--She will always be a favorite!

We celebrated a successful school year with a trip to Chuck E. Cheese's with friends.
Kieran, Levi, and Kody

My boys

Kieran was pretty excited about this ticket chain.

June was pretty rainy, but we tried to squeeze in time at Island Bay whenever we could.

Grandpa visited.
Friendly game of ladders

Aunt Mariah joined in the yard game fun too.

Kieran and Miss Anna--He almost has it! I hope Anna is back next summer.

Cole took a refresher session with Grant.

An afternoon at Knights Action Park
Kieran braved the big yellow and red slides this summer and loved them.

Cole participated in a Tae Kwon Do camp.

Caden participated in a junior golf league through Piper Glen Golf Course. He really enjoyed playing, but the weather didn't cooperate for many matches.
Heading to his first match that ended up being canceled when we arrived due to approaching storms

Kieran had the chance to attend his very first "real" camp, and he was so excited about it. He went to t-ball camp with his buddies, Kody and Levi. He really enjoyed the camp. I was super pleased with how well the camp was run.

Caden attended baseball camp at Lincoln Land Community College.

One of our trips out on the boat

Kieran was able to ride in the tube with his brothers for the first time. Of course, Curt did not go as fast when Kieran was riding. He loved it and felt so big!

The boys enjoyed some swim time while Curt and I enjoyed dinner on the upper deck at Island Bay.

Caden and Cole attended Camp Invention at University of Illinois-Springfield. It was a full-day camp that lasted all week. Some days seemed a little long to Cole, but both boys enjoyed the experience.

For the first time, Caden attended a multi-night church camp. He was at Lake Springfield Christian Assembly for four nights and five days. It is safe to say he loved every minute and did not miss us much at all. They kept him very busy. He had a blast. It was so weird to not see Caden or have any communication with him for that many days. I am so glad he had so much fun!

Our May

Our May was full with end-of-school-year activities and a taste of summer fun.

Cole played machine-pitch baseball for the first time. We were pleased that he played on the CBSI Cardinals team.

Fun way to practice letters on a sunny spring day

Making Lego creations with buddy, Levi

We celebrated Nana's birthday and Mother's Day.

Kieran's second preschool year came to an end. It was another fantastic year!

Another preschool year in the books, just one more to go

Kieran and I visited the neighborhood playground to celebrate a great school year. He requested a photo shoot on the playground equipment. Silly boy!

The fifth grade band put on a spring concert. They made a lot of improvement since the winter concert. They did a great job!

After Caden's band concert, he went to his 8:00 baseball game.

Caden's class hosted a Wax Museum. Each student had to research a person from the Revolutionary War era, and then dress as that person. Caden was supposed to be still like a statue and not interact with the guests. It took a lot of convincing to get Caden to look up at me for this photo.

Our screened-in porch project was completed with the delivery of furniture. We LOVE it! SO happy with how it turned out!
Enjoying lunch on the porch

Caden went to Skyzone in St. Louis to celebrate his friend, Jacob's birthday.

A little blurry, but this is Caden slam-dunking with the help of a trampoline.

Caden had yet another fifth grade project...a rocket, this time! They launched them at school.

Kieran finally stopped being so lazy on his training wheel bike.
Go, Kieran!

Cole and two of the cul-de-sac girls

I led the final Titan Castle (a weekly reward program for students who have earned Titan Tickets for good behavior) of the school year. Thankfully, it was a beautiful morning, so I took the kids outside to make a card for any leader in the school and to decorate the sidewalk with chalk.
Cole's teacher always sent him when she knew I was leading Titan Castle. :)

Over Memorial Day weekend, I took Cole, Kieran, and Sophia to our neighborhood pool while Curt and Caden golfed.

At the end of May, Cole attended his friend, Ethan's birthday party at the Springfield Sliders baseball game. Caden, Kieran, and I stayed for the game instead of driving back and forth. It was a chilly night for May, but we had a good time.
