Kieran at 2 1/2 years

In January, Kieran officially turned 2 1/2 years old.  Hard to believe our baby is a little boy!  He has quite the personality and talks all the time in rather lengthy sentences.  A couple of recent quotes..."It's just noodles, Cole.  C'mon, you'll like it!" and "Your hair looks nice, Mama."  He has also taken to calling his brothers and parents "poopy butt" and asking "Why?"  (Thanks a lot, big brothers!)  Kieran is very observant and doesn't miss much.  He is full of love, likes to make others smile, and is very ticklish.  Kieran is also fairly attached to my hair and must touch it before leaving me, but he did give up his paci in January.  Yay!  We're approaching the next big milestones...potty training, which I'm dreading, and a big boy bed.  Some of his favorites include The Backyardigans, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, The Wiggles, Funshop, vehicles of all kinds, balls (still), and playing pretend with his "guys" (action figures).  He sings several songs and counts into the teens.  Kieran has started going to a Sunday School classroom instead of the nursery.  Our weekday mornings are pretty busy with shopping, FitClub, Moms Group, and Funshop.  We manage to fit in some time for playing and reading though.  Kieran will go to preschool two mornings a week in the fall.  Getting so big too fast!

LOVE this little guy!

Is this all the snow we're going to get?!

On New Year's Day, we played in our only measurable snowfall of this winter (so far, although it's getting too late and I'm losing hope).  The boys had a great time sledding on the golf course behind our house.

I am disappointed in our lame winter.  I am a fan of huge snowfalls, as long as everyone is safe and power stays on, but it has to come before March starts.  We're running out time.

Christmas 2012

Some photos from our Christmas celebrations...

Checking out what Santa left
The boys were surprised that Santa left a go-cart.

Caden and Cole had Skylanders Giants at the top of their lists, but Santa left them the Wii U version.  Hmmm...

Cole reading the Lego Batman Visual Dictionary that he has been wanting.

Time to empty the stockings

Caden and Cole tried out their new DS games from Santa while I made breakfast.  Kieran didn't want left out, so he grabbed Cole's old Leapster.

After a quick breakfast, we opened presents from each other.
Legos for Caden and Avengers for Cole

Microchargers cars for Caden and Legos for Cole

Kieran was so into present opening that we had to make sure he was opening his own presents.

"Jake!"  Kieran was excited to get the pirate ship from Jake and the Neverland Pirates

The boys patiently waited to open the largest presents under the tree.

When Nana and Papa arrived, we snapped a couple family photos before more unwrapping began.

Of course, Kieran wanted to pose with his gifts from Nana and Papa too.

Building Legos--a Christmas tradition

Kieran always asks for an M&M fan at the store.  Nana and Papa delivered.

Aunt Shannon and Josh arrived.

Grammy and Grandpa were sick on Christmas Day, so we celebrated with a healthier Grammy on the Saturday after Christmas.

We enjoyed another wonderful Christmas.  The boys had a great time playing with their new toys over winter break.

Cole...I do not know what he's doing here!
I wasn't sure how Kieran would react to being in front of the crowd, but he didn't seem scared at all. He waved at us and pointed out his brothers.

Winter Break begins...
Instead of gingerbread houses, the boys made an ice cream cone Christmas tree forest this year.
Kieran wanted to model with the Christmas tree forest too.
