Caden's 9th Birthday

I'm so behind on photos...Back in March, Caden turned 9!  We celebrated his birthday a few times over the course of two weeks.

Caden's first birthday celebration was with friends and family at a bowling alley.  The kids and adults had a lot of fun.  Plus, the party was super easy for me, and it went smoothly.  Two thumbs up!

Love this photo of Caden and Griffin!

Watching the kids bowl, react, and chat was very entertaining

Kieran joined in the fun too.

The cake is getting brighter every year.  Hard to believe it is time for 9 candles!

Caden took home a souvenir bowling pin signed by his friends.

Post-party, we came home to hang out with Grammy, Aunt Mariah, Nana, and Papa.

On the night of his actual birthday, Caden had three friends from class sleep over.
More wishes!

It is hard to believe that another year has passed by.  It seems like the years are starting to pass more quickly.  Next year, Caden moves to double digits.

Animal Kingdom Lodge & Sunrise Safari

We absolutely loved staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge.  Our suite was amazing!  I would definitely stay at this resort again and hope we get to.  Next time, we'll make a point to swim (just didn't make time for it this visit) and take part in some of their fun activities.  The only drawback is not being within walking distance of a park, but we got pretty used to catching buses.

Gorgeous Christmas tree in the lobby
Our very own Christmas tree in the suite--This won me over right away!

So close to a giraffe!  It was amazing!

Where Curt, Kieran, and I slept, attached is a large bathroom
Main living area, which doubled as Grammy's bedroom when the couch was pulled out.  The kitchen area and half-bath are behind me.
Bunk beds (awesome!!!) where Caden and Cole slept next to Nana and Papa.  Another full bathroom was attached to this room.

Since we were staying in a suite at the concierge level, we had the opportunity to go on a sunrise safari.  It was a very early morning for our last day, but it was well worth it.  They guides took us behind the scenes of Animal Kingdom and on a longer safari ride than the typical one at the park.  We really enjoyed it and were amazed by all of the animals.  As we exited the safari, Animal Kingdom was opening for the day.  Here are some of the great photos that Curt took during the safari.

Giraffes were a favorite.

Very cool that we heard a roaring "conversation" between this lion and another lion further away!

This white rhino walked right alongside our jeep.  We could have reached out to touch him if we didn't know better.

Truly awesome experience!  Thank you, Curt!

Christmas at Disney World

Christmas at Disney World is truly magical.  The decorations were both beautiful and fun.  Visiting in December might make Christmas prep a little more rushed, but it is definitely worth it.
