Our March

We started out March with another big and beautiful snow. Since we didn't get a lot of snow this winter, we needed one more big snowfall. This was it! We enjoyed sledding on the hills behind our house with the rest of the cul-de-sac crew and some cul-de-sac cousins.

We are so blessed with a few fun hills behind our house. Makes for very easy sledding outings!

Caden is pulling up the tube sled. Cole and Kieran are using teamwork to bring up another sled.

The next day, Kieran had some of his preschool friends over after school to enjoy the sledding hills before the snow melted. They had so much fun!

Since we were going to be in Indianapolis on Easter Sunday, the Easter Bunny surprised us with an early visit. The boys saw their baskets before church, and they hunted for eggs after lunch.
Kieran was pretty excited about the egg hunt. He had become increasingly concerned about the Easter Bunny visit when he figured out we wouldn't be home on Easter.

Sickly but still up for an egg hunt

Later that day, we colored Easter eggs. It was a very busy Palm Sunday!

Thrilled with all the Easter activities!

Caden's 11th Birthday

Caden turned 11 in March, which simply amazes me. Time sure flies!

On the morning of Caden's birthday party day, we had two basketball games. After that, we ate lunch at one of Caden's favorite places, McCormick's with Nana, Papa, Grammy, Aunt Mariah, and Neil. After lunch, Caden opened presents from Nana & Papa, Grammy & Grandpa, and Aunt Mariah & Neil.

Later that day, Caden celebrated with friends at Springfield Archery.

The party leaders did an excellent job teaching the boys about archery. The boys seemed to really enjoy it.

After mastering target shooting, the targets switched to dinosaurs.

After an hour in the range area, we moved to the party room for 30 minutes of cake and presents.

I think Caden was pretty pleased with his birthday celebration. 11 years! Hard to believe!
