Finishing the School Year

Hard to believe another school year is over!

Cole with Mrs. Hall, the assistant--They enjoyed discussing superheroes and Disney movies.

Cole with Mrs. Nelsen--Such an amazing teacher! She was perfect for Cole's last year of preschool before heading to kindergarten. He misses her already!

Papa surprised Cole at his graduation

Cole on his last day of preschool (a day after the graduation ceremony)--He has grown and changed so much over this year. He's so very ready for kindergarten! But am I?!

Cherry Hills Preschool met at a park to celebrate the end of the school year.

Kieran loves to swing "high."

Cole and Joe (under the arch)--It was VERY diffcult to get photos of Cole and his friends at the park. They had so much fun together! Luckily, two of his preschool buddies will be at Glenwood Elementary with him. Plus, he's seeing several of them at camps, parks, and pools throughout the summer.

Caden's second grade year ended with a pirate-themed party.

Caden, Garrett, and Camden

Both boys had fantastic school years. We are so proud of them! Now, they are enjoying summer before heading off to kindergarten and third grade.  Cannot believe it!

Mother's Day at the Cardinals Game

We spent Mother's Day at the Cardinals game with Nana, Papa, Grammy, and Aunt Mariah.  The weather was gorgeous--very sunny and warm.  We had a fun day together despite the Cardinals loss.

My Mother's Day goodies--beautiful flowers, pottery bowl from Caden, and a silhouette from Cole

The boys who call me "Mom"

It's very difficult to get all three boys to look at the camera and smile at the same time, but I love them anyway!

It was a fantastic surprise to run into two sets of friends at the ballpark. Made for an even better day! Here are Caden and Mason in the video game room.

Caden, Mason, and Mitchell--So much FUN to watch the Cardinals with friends!

After the game, the boys took part in one of our favorite activities--running the bases.
Caden is wearing #23. Cole is #4.

Play Ball!

We have spent a lot of time at the ballpark this spring.  Cole is playing tball for the Astros.

Cole's first season of tball

Cole on second base--He enjoys hitting and running the bases.

Fielding is not as entertaining for Cole.

Ready!
Cole and Caden have had great seasons.  They have both improved and had a lot of fun!  Caden's last game is tomorrow, and he's not happy about that.  Cole still has a couple more weeks of games, weather permitting.  Kieran has been a great fan, but he thinks he's ready for a turn.

Second Grade Musical

In April, the second grades at Caden's school put on the musical, "Spaced Out."  The musical was held in the big auditorium at the high school.  Caden starred as Hipparchus (FYI...a Greek astronomer, geographer, and mathematician who is considered the founder of trigonometry) and had several lines.  After the opening song, Caden was the first to speak by counting stars in the sky.

Caden before the musical (I was so nervous for him!)

Caden did an awesome job with his lines! We are so proud of him!

We have video, but the cord to download it to the computer is missing.  Hope to be able to add a clip at some point.  All of the second graders did a great job!  "Spaced Out" was a fun musical.  Proud of our Hipparchus!!!

Photos from April

Our spring was VERY busy! We enjoyed being outside a lot in April.

Kieran's turn in the big red car--Caden received this car from Nana and Papa when he turned 1.

Caden speeds around our cul-de-sac on his new bike.

Kieran is already trying to dribble a basketball. He watches his brothers play all the time.

Cole, master of bubbles!

Happy to be riding the trike, which we recently retired after over six years of use. The seat belt broke off, but Kieran still needs strapped in. He will be getting a new one for his birthday (or maybe even sooner).

Looks like we have another LEGO builder!

Kieran had a major allergic reaction to amoxicillin. He was covered in hives from head to toe with swollen hands and feet. He was MISERABLE! Of course, his reaction started on a Friday evening and the night before Curt and I were heading to St. Louis for an overnight stay. Nana and Papa took good care of our itchy baby. I did not snap any photos when he was at his worst, but here are a few that I did take.
Lots of paci and cuddles during his nearly 10-day bout with hives

Relaxing with Nana

Fat feet! He could barely walk when his reaction was at its worst.

Some hives around his eyes and red ears

Itchy belly! (Unfortunately, it was A LOT worse than this!)

All better! Kieran loves to look at and listen to books.
