Our October

As usual, October was full of fun fall and Halloween activities.

The boys and I celebrated excellent parent/teacher conferences with pizza and games at Chuck E. Cheese's.

Kieran finished up his soccer season.

Cole was thrilled to get a shorter cast. He was so happy to stretch out his arm.

We saw Hotel Transylvania 2 with Kieran's friend, Kody and his family.

We attended the Homecoming parade.
Always love to see a marching band perform!
Caden rode on GIS' Student Council float.

Caden and Curt ran the 5k race associated with the Springfield Marathon. The race was on a Saturday evening and started/finished at The Muni.

Caden is in red. Curt is in gray behind Caden.

Curt's turn to cross

Caden finished first in his age group (0-19 years). Curt placed third in his age group. Proud of my guys!

Caden accepting his prize--He was pretty excited!
The next morning, Curt ran his first marathon. I dropped off Curt and watched the start, and then returned home. The boys, Nana, Papa, and I came back a while later to see Curt finish. He finished under his goal time. So proud of his dedication and accomplishment!

While Curt rested and recovered from the marathon, the rest of us went to Pumpkin Creek Farms for some fall fun.

Intense duck races

We had a great time with Nana and Papa at Pumpkin Creek Farms--climbing on hay bales, picking pumpkins, going through the corn maze, riding the barrel train, and enjoying apple cider donuts and cider.

On Columbus Day, we went to Auburn's A-Maze-ing Corn Maze. It is a family favorite. We were so happy they were open again this year.
We found all the checkpoints.

After six LONG weeks, Cole was able to get his cast removed!

Another family favorite is Washington Park's Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular. It was one of the first really cool nights of fall, perfect for jack-o-lantern viewing and treat eating.

A trip to Target with Kieran...our goofball
