Our April

April seemed to go by in a flash!

We started the month with a fun trip to the bowling alley with Nana and Papa. Curt was the victor.

Jovie and Rey agree that the best part of the new couch is the chaise. They are chaise hogs!

Jovie taking up more of the couch than she should

Jovie watching Kieran take a bath
Jovie and Rey were spayed mid-month. They were still under the influence of anesthesia and so pitiful when they came home. I do not remember this experience with Mia at all.
Poor Rey

Rey wanting to get into the bathroom to be with Jovie

Jovie waited on the other side of the bathroom door. We had to keep them separated from each other until their anesthesia wore off. I guess it can make cats angry sometimes. Ours were not affected that way fortunately.

Jovie being extremely pitiful

Rey did not like being trapped in the bedroom. They weren't supposed to do any jumping or climbing for a week, and we have two open staircases, so we had no choice.
Caden participated in his first track meet. While he was waiting to compete in long jump, it started pouring. So miserable! The students got soaked. Caden was so wet and numb that he only participated in the long jump. He opted not to stick around for his running events.

He was pleased with his 11'5" jump.
When we got home from the track meet, we found the sisters like this--still not feeling the best and not happy to be stuck in the bedroom.

The GES third grade classrooms put on the musical, Science Rocks. They had to memorize so many songs. They did an awesome job!
Cole as Einstein

Cole did a great job delivering his lines.
We introduced Jovie and Rey to bird videos per Aunt Shannon's recommendation.
Rey was very intrigued.

At first, Jovie did not quite understand the video. She kept looking behind the iPad.

Sisterly love--Sorry! They are too cute to NOT photograph.
The 6th grade concert band participated in IESA Organizational Contest. They played three songs and did very well. I am amazed how much improvement the band makes each time they perform.
Caden is the second trumpet from the end. (poor phone photos because I forgot my good camera)

Mr. Marcotte is the band instructor.
We celebrated with ice cream at Scoop du Jour.

Kieran has been ready to play baseball since he could walk. It is FINALLY his turn! He is so excited to play tball this spring.
