In typical fashion, May was packed with end-of-year activities at school and baseball. Track was added to the mix this year, so we were even busier than usual.
The weather cooperated for a home track meet. Finally!!!

Caden jumped 11' 9 1/2" in the long jump. |
|
He ran the 100m in 19.58 seconds. |
|
He ran the 400m in 1 minute 19 seconds. |
Cole's first baseball game was a chilly one. He is in the 3rd/4th grade league, which means the games are kid-pitch for the first time. He is on the Texas Rangers and lucky enough to have a couple friends on the team and one of Caden's awesome former coaches.

My Mother's Day note from Kieran :)
We took Nana and Papa to the St. Louis Cardinals vs. Pittsburgh Pirates game. It was the first HOT day! We made it through with lots of water and some shade breaks. The Cardinals won, and we had a fun time, so it was worth it!
We've been gone a lot in the evening with baseball games, and Rey is tired of it. She is ready to tag along as team mascot.
Caden's first baseball game
Caden's final track meet of the season was a 6th grade-only meet in Rochester. He participated in the long jump, 100m, and 4x100m relay. He really enjoyed the relay.
|
Proud of Caden for being willing to try something new! We love to watch him run. |
More cat photos because they are too cute not to photograph :) I probably said that last month, but they are still cute. Getting so big too!

"You know what is sad about school being over? When you don't get to see a teacher you really like." We will miss Mrs. Steber! |

Preschool graduate in the blink of an eye...Where did the time go?! |
|
The end of an era...Cole was in preschool at Cherry Hills for two years, and then Kieran and I attended Moms Group there before he attended preschool for three years. |
|
Kieran with twins, Lilly and Maddie...I call them unofficial triplets because they were born on the same day in the same hospital with the same delivery doctor. :) |

Kieran and Van |
Lots of tball pictures because I think little kids playing tball are adorable! Kieran has waited and waited for his turn to be out on the field. He is so excited before and during every game. He LOVES tball! Bonus--One of his best buddies, Levi is on his team, which means one of my best friends is on the sidelines with me. :)

Back up! This kid can hit! |

Rey waits for Kieran's tv time every morning, so she can lay on him and use her paw as a pacifier. Spoiled fur baby! |

Jovie only grants entrance to the freezer after several belly rubs. |

Kieran, our tball star
My friend, Melanie and I volunteered to lead the 3rd grade end-of-year class party. Turns out to be the easiest party to lead! The third grade teachers plan minute-to-win-it games through which ALL third grade classes rotate. They even purchase supplies. We just run each game station for the class. Thankfully, the weather cooperated for the party to be outside!

Scoring at home |
Another one of Caden's games...This one was super exciting! The team was down 13-5 at the beginning of the 3rd inning. They rallied and scored six runs that inning. Caden scored the tying run in the 4th inning, and then Caden's team won 14-13. It was a great comeback!

Post-game talk from the coach |
Over Memorial Day weekend, we enjoyed beautiful pool weather. On Saturday, Nana and Papa took Cole and Kieran to Piper Glen's pool while Caden was at a birthday party. On Sunday, we visited Panther Creek's pool for the first time.

A quick game of Connect Four at Panther Creek |
Random photo of Rey with her favorite mouse, which has been missing for a while. She brought it out of hiding over the weekend.
We finished up the weekend with Island Bay's Memorial Day festivities. Cole and Caden braved the dunk tank.

Kieran visited the eye doctor for the first time in preparation for kindergarten. His vision was great, except for being color deficient likes his brothers and Papa.

Final photo of May...Rey lounging upright like a person...So silly!
Bring on summer!
