Nana, the boys, and I took a horse-drawn carriage ride around Washington Park. We all enjoyed it. It was very peaceful.
We visited Festival of Trees twice. Our first visit was with Nana and Papa.

One of the boys' favorites was inspired by the movie Inside Out. |
Attempting to take a photo of Caden and Kieran on the train (Cole did not ride.)...
Caden is looking. |
Kieran is looking. |
They are both looking, but now they are too far away for a decent phone photo. |
This is now Kieran guarantees no one will want to share his gingerbread cookie. He licks ALL of the icing off and barely nibbles the actual cookie. |
We celebrated a low-key Thanksgiving with Papa. Curt grilled a delicious turkey. After stuffing ourselves, we relaxed around the house.
Post-turkey laziness for Caden and Rey |
Rey found her second spot on Papa. |
Rey finally settled on Papa's feet. |
Jovie requesting something from Curt |
We took our second trip to Festival of Trees with Curt. He was on call for the first visit.
Loved this showcase depicting the parade in front of Macy's! |
Impressive Hogwarts gingerbread castle |

GMS bands performed at the end of the month. The concert was in the high school auditorium and the kids wore bow ties and cummerbunds, so it felt fancier. ;) Caden performed with two of the four groups, symphonic (honors) band and 7th grade jazz band. He had a solo during one of the jazz band songs. They gave an excellent performance! I'm always impressed with how much progress they make between concerts.
After the concert |
We nervously put up the Christmas tree. We weren't sure how Jovie and Rey would react. Thankfully, they behaved and quickly claimed their spots under the tree.
